About Yarpa Ready

Yarpa Ready is our innovative tender readiness program that builds the capability, capacity and competitiveness of First Nations businesses in a bid to position them for success when competing on tenders with major buyers.

Developed from industry insights gathered from tier 1, tier 2 and government procurement and contract managers at an Industry Round Table event held in March 2025, Yarpa Ready is 100% co-designed and delivered in partnership with Western Sydney University.

Who is Yarpa Ready for?

Yarpa Ready is for established First Nation businesses who are looking to engage with major projects or enter into major supply chains through tender processes. It is an exclusive program for Yarpa First Nation Business Members who can commit to the full 6-week program.

How does Yarpa Ready benefit participants?

Yarpa Ready equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to become tender-ready, offering a thorough introduction to procurement processes, industry benchmarks, and commercial expectations. This empowers First Nations businesses to better capitalize on opportunities in competitive markets.

Recognised as a university-certified micro-credential, this Yarpa Ready validates participants’ expertise and knowledge across both academic and business landscapes. It supports First Nations entrepreneurs to drive economic growth through sustainable business practices.

Evaluate market and supply chain positioning to identify tendering opportunities aligned with business capabilities.
Analyse industry benchmarks to assess business readiness
Develop strategies for strengthening professional networks
Create a customised bid library comprising essential documentation commonly required in tender submissions.
Demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to tenders by addressing buyer needs, articulating value, and presenting a persuasive pitch.
Apply principles of contract management, and pipeline planning to ensure sustainable, competitive, and resilient tendering practices.
