Business Spotlight: Indigenous Futures Foundation

For the past 4 years, the Indigenous Futures Foundation has cooked and distributed over one hundred thousand meals for families that are doing it tough.

Their dream is to end the food crisis in remote and regional First Nations communities.

To reach that goal, they’re working on an innovative project that will shake up the catering industry!

This project is called ‘Love ya’! An Uber Eats style catering platform for corporates who need high quality catering.

Indigenous Futures Foundation Co-founder,  Levi Joel Tamou said, “We figured we’re in the food space, we’re in the food industry, let’s stay within that and stick to our core and let’s create an uber eats style catering platform for corporates who need high quality catering and let’s go national.”

“With that our profits that we make will be reinvested into our operations and into our dream into establish a national Indigenous food innovation precinct to get our mob back into growing our own food – cooking our own food producing different types of food and selling that for national and export markets and train our mob up in areas of hospitality and food processing.”

Levi is one of our recent Yarpa Grow graduates and we caught up with him to yarn more about this exciting project!
