Yarpa Grow is an innovative business accelerator program that will empower and help grow a strong and prosperous Indigenous business sector across NSW. The Yarpa Grow program is designed to meet the needs of growing Indigenous businesses by building capability and confidence to successfully connect participating businesses to the growing pipeline of procurement opportunities across NSW.Who is it forThe Yarpa Grow program is available for Indigenous businesses with 50 percent or more Indigenous ownership, have capacity to commit to the full Yarpa Grow program and are members of the Yarpa Hub. Program participants must also be the Indigenous majority owner, Managing Director or CEO of the business.What will it achieveThe Yarpa Grow program has been designed to accelerate sustainable Indigenous business growth in order to connect participants to the vast procurement opportunities occurring within NSW and across the country. Utlising the skills and expertise of the Yarpa Hub team and the KPMG Indigenous Network (KIN), the program will take Indigenous businesses through a sophisticated curriculum that will build their capabilities and knowledge across a range of business topics via the Yarpa Grow learning program. Business will receive direct support from one of our highly skilled Yarpa Hub coaches and a KPMG mentor who will have extensive experience in their field. Mentors will also provide businesses with direct connections to key contacts within their field to ensure they rapidly build an opportunity pipeline after completing the Yarpa grow program.Curriculum features The Yarpa Grow curriculum has been developed through a sophisticated Business Readiness Framework which ensures that participating businesses are upskilled in a number of core business fundamental subject areas. Key curriculum areas include: Business Planning Business will be provided with a framework to set goals, objectives, initiatives, and key performance indicators. Business Fundamentals This component will focus on key topics that are fundamental to core business operations. Supply Chain Readiness Enable businesses to understand the procurement process, procurement opportunities and build capability to tender for future opportunities. IT & Systems Businesses will be provided with an understanding of what constitutes a robust and scalable IT system that will meet future growth opportunities. Accessing Capital Upskilling will be provided on how to safely access mainstream financing pathways. Sustainable Growth Pathways A series of immersive workshops that will cover accelerating commercialisation, tapping into overseas markets, project management and marketing strategies. Governance and Risk Management Businesses will learn about the importance of creating and maintaining corporate governance and risk management structures and controls.
